In-home or outdoor gentle, relaxed and baby-led newborn baby portraits in Cheltenham & Cirencester. The first few weeks of life at home with your new baby can feel surreal. There is joy, there are tears (from your new baby and likely from you!), there is utter exhaustion as well as indescribable highs. But what we are all told but don't fully grasp until it happens to us, is that, even though the days feel immensely long through our tired eyes, it really does go by so fast.

Our newborn session can be held in the safe space of your own home or in the outdoors (weather permitting). Each session is completely unrushed, calm and completely baby-led. We move at their pace, we take breaks for feeds, cuddles and cups of tea. My newborn sessions are not highly posed, we focus on the connection of your new family. With some very light posing suggestions, I will capture the smallest of details alongside soft and thoughtful portraits.

Frequently Asked Questions - Newborn Sessions

The ideal time to book your newborn session is during pregnancy, usually after your 20-week scan. Sessions are then provisionally scheduled around your due date and confirmed once baby arrives.

Typically newborn sessions are photographed within the first 5–14 days after birth, when babies are still tiny and very sleepy. However, beautiful images can absolutely still be captured with older newborns too.

You can provide your own outfits, but I do also bring a selection of beautiful newborn clothing to every session which you are welcome to use. Props are usually unnecessary as everything is kept very natural and simple. The focus is always on connection and your baby, rather than heavy props.

I allow up to 2.5 hours for your newborn session. I am completely baby-led, and so with this time we can allow for feeding breaks as needed.

Yes! Absolutely. As a lifestyle photographer, parents and siblings are always encouraged to be involved within the session and photos.

Sessions can take place In your home or, in warmer months, outdoors. In-home sessions are especially popular for families wanting calm, meaningful photographs in their own environment.

Session pricing starts from £295, which includes your photoshoot experience and 5 images to download and keep.
You will receive a beautifully edited online gallery containing approximately 40+ images to choose from, with the option to purchase additional images or full galleries.

A signed contract and deposit of 50% of your session fee is required to secure your booking date.

The travel radius included within my base session fee is up to 15 miles from GL7. Anything further and a travel fee will be invoiced.
